SSA Consultores celebrates its fifteenth anniversary in 2023, so they commissioned us to create a logo to commemorate the occasion, following the trend of anniversary logos.
For the design of the logotype, the unquestionable protagonism of the number fifteen was chosen. The starting point was the corporate typography, already used in the tagline of the logo. In addition, we played with the superposition of the outline of the shield, its main symbol.
An important design challenge was to find a way to recognise the brand without using the logotype. The key was in the use of the corporate colours, the rounded edges and the use of the corporate typography.
Another element that is present, although in a more subtle way, is the edition of the number one. A number that in the original typography had straight, orthogonal ends, now becomes rounded at the end, in allusion to the shape of the test tube present in the coat of arms of the original logo.
The main symbol is accompanied by the three-line slogan with its typography, which brings balance to the composition. It is also accompanied by the 2008 and 2023, in a casual font, different from the one used in the rest, but which also communicates the brand identity. The position of these is a gesture to the ordinal indicator that would be used in a 15º.
In addition, the anniversary logo had to be understood in its coexistence with the original logo, both vertically and horizontally. It must work both in combination with the original logo and separately.
